Let's start with the current projects.
Our friends Ashley, Meg, and Brandon have begun compiling and creating a cook book for the restaurant. All the recipes are according to the standards we have set below. However, as always, we are open to submissions. We just ask that the items be reasonable to produce and nutritionally sound. You can submit those to this email, normancommunitykitchen@gmail.com.
I (Wes) am working on finding local and national food distribution (for certain products we can't get locally). I have yet to do much in the way of contacting these leads, but I am currently compiling a list.
Locally - I currently have the two farmers markets and the regional food bank.

This is all the information I have so far, as it can be seen, I could use some help. If any of you have any information on local farmers or local food distribution, the NCK team would greatly appreciate the help. You can send us any information you have that would enhance our search for the right distribution.
Colin is currently working on the legal issues and mission statements that come with putting something like this together. As we all need, he could use some help in this area. Mainly in the area of board of directors, and I know the role sounds much more intimidating than it really is. The role consists of a few meetings a year to oversee the company as a whole and to ensure that we are still on track with our goals as well as representing the non-profit idea. This is currently our biggest issue, so if you know of ANYONE that would be willing and qualified to help with this job, please help us get in contact with the individual. If you'd like to do it yourself, we would like to hear from you.
We are also looking for ideas on a promotional video we intend to shoot in the near future. If you'd like to help with that, please do.
We are also searching for types of exposure in other areas, like local prints. So, if you have a way of helping us fulfill this goal, please let us know.
ALSO to all of you who suggested that you'd like to volunteer, we have not forgot about you. We are currently compiling together all of your information and establishing ways of staying in contact with you. We appreciate the desire to be apart of this community project and your help will go along way.
With that being said, if you feel the desire to volunteer in the future, please get in contact with the team, and we will give you more information on the subject as well as give you an idea of what we are looking for.
We'd also appreciate any sort of donation in the form of cook ware/chairs/tables/ or anything you would think a restaurant would need. If you have anyway of getting donations from restaurants or connections that would allow us to get our hands on the equipment for cheap, please help us.
Also, we are open to ideas that would enrich the community and feel of the restaurant. So, don't slow down with those.
As you can see, we've take a forward step, but still need a lot of help. Thank you for anything you can help us with.
